Clusters and Small Groups

Cluster Intro

In September 2009, we launched a two year Cluster pilot. After a successful review in the Autumn of 2011, we decided to make Clusters a permanent feature of Winbap, with the continued proviso that members involved in missional activities elsewhere and not wanting to join a Cluster, can remain in the pre-established House Group system.

If you are new to Winbap, Clusters are the main place to get connected into the life of the church. These mid-sized groups have an intentional outward focus, or "missional" aspect to them.

Each Cluster is made up of discipleship-based Small Groups where the members regularly meet up to share life together, pray for and support one another, and apply the word of God in their lives through accountable relationships. In addition, they meet to arrange events as a whole Cluster.

Each Cluster has a "missional" heart. They may gather around either a common need, social interest, stage of life or geographical area. We encourage members to go to the Cluster which most resonates with their heart to reach out to those beyond the walls of the church.

TRANSITION
We are a group of people in our teens or twenties who are in a
transitional stage of life. Whether it’s going on a gap year, starting in the work place, going to university or having just graduated; we aim to meet twice fortnightly to study God’s word, worship and pray together and then twice fortnightly to socialise with our mates, doing a whole range of
activities from visits to the pub or gigs, to bowling and cinema expeditions.

We want our lives to reflect Jesus in the big decisions of life and the small steps and choices we make everyday.

KINGDOM BUSINESS
This is for anyone who wants to make their day job a ministry!

CONNECT
Connecting: us to each other, us to God, us to our neighbours, our neighbours to God.
This cluster aims to connect folk in Kings Worthy from all ages and stages of life, as an extended family of God. Food, Fun and Family Friendship
feature strongly in events, (ie- bbq, puddings and games, picnics and
frisbee) but so does ‘getting our hands dirty’ as we help our neighbours practically (litter picking, painting etc!).
(although we have a kings worthy focus, others who may wish to join in the family are welcome!)

VISION
Dream interpretation cluster.
"For God may speak in one way or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction." Job 33:14-16

Our Cluster aims to have fun exploring the ways God communicates to us through dreams, sometimes using symbolic language. It is the Holy Spirit who ultimately interprets our dreams, so we will be connecting with Him in the process! We believe God is speaking to the unchurched through dream language, just as He has always done throughout Scripture, so our intention is to ultimately connect with our unchurched friends whilst attempting to understand their dreams. We hope this will be fun, informative, and revelatory.
Meetings will be in our home, or in pubs, and restaurants!

WOMAN 2 WOMAN
We are a group of women who organize fun events and evenings out for women of all ages in and around Winchester.
Through these events we hope to offer people the opportunity to strengthen and develop friendships which help us to value and support each other.
In so doing, we aim to show and share the love of Jesus with those whom we meet.

Leader - Janet Jones; aj25ATbtopenworld.com

FAVOUR
This is a group for anyone who is interested in getting their hands ‘dirty’ by helping the disadvantaged and the needy. In short we want to share the Lord’s Favour in simple and practical ways living the Gospel.

Potential involvement may be with the Winchester Nightshelter,
supporting the work of CAP, prison visiting, neighbourhood projects, the Winchester Christmas Families Project and linking up with the work of The Besom Foundation.

Leader-Catherine Bartlett; cngbartlettATaol.com

HONOUR (formerly Mission to Seniors)
We are a group reaching out to senior folk with acts of kindness, a listening ear, sharing the love of God in the context of an enjoyable, stimulating programme of events, each with a spiritual emphasis, providing a sanctuary in this busy changing world! For more information please email. or telephone 868 770

LOCATION
Location is for anyone couples, singles, families, teenagers who want to support each other in showing & sharing Jesus more effectively to our friends, work colleagues & families wherever we are located!

We would do this en masse (safety in numbers!) by turning up to &/or helping with events & activities in which our members are already involved.

REAL LIFE
We are primarily a walking group and have been meeting regularly on a Friday for more than two years under the acronym of CLOWNS or Clapped Out Walking Nuts
We walk a lot, talk a lot, observe a lot, eat a lot, drink a lot, laugh a lot and have lots of fun.
Our objective while mixing in the community, is to try and dispel the myth that Christians in general, are human and not a load of serious Bible Bashing Stuffed Shirts.

Leader - Tony Mundy; tvmundyATyahoo.co.uk
